RHIS Coordinator (Mamoni HSS Project)

Job Description / Responsibility
Upazilla Coordinator- Routine Health Information System (RHIS) is responsible for improving MNCH/FP/N outcomes by strengthening the existing Management Information System. The Upazila Coordinator-RHIS will work closely with the District level, sub-district level managers and union level service providersof MOH&FW to strengthen the routine MIS through establishing an automated MIS and test the automation of MIS in assigned Upazila of Habigonj District. The Upazilla Coordinator-RHIS will ensure timely implementation of approved workplan of RHIS, ensure census of the facilities and will monitor progress through providing supportive supervision to Union level MOHFW workers. S/he will also document program lessons and prepares program progress reports as per monitoring and reporting plan laid out for the project. The Upazilla Coordinator-RHIS will be based in assigned upazilla of Habigonj district. S/He will spend at least 70% of time supporting field implementation at Upazila level. The Upazilla Coordinator-RHIS will also mobilize the support to formal and informal private sector and non-governmental organizations to adopt the Automated MIS within their system.
Working Area : Chunarughat, Nabiganj, Baniachong and Ajmirigonj Upazila
Work with union, upazila and district level facilities of DGHS and DGFP, Union Parishad and other relevant departments and stakeholders to implement RHIS activities for testing and scale up
Work closely with Union level MOHFW health workers to ensure Management and implementation of field level RHIS activities
Provide monitoring and supervision support to GOB health workers
Ensure progress of activities according to the work plan
Regular reporting on RHIS activities
Identify training needs for on the job and refresher trainings and arrange such trainings for automation
Facilitate management and follow-up of capacity building and training events
Organizing training for GO, NGO staffs and service providers working at community level as well as facility level
On the job training and supportive supervision for supervisor and ensure coaching and motivation through supervisory visit and feedback.
Facilitate multi-sectorial coordination at upazila level and below (with key relevant sectors)
Participate in Monthly coordination meeting at Upazila level and ensure participation at union parishad meeting
Coordinate with MaMoni HSS management for timely implementation of RHIS activities.
Coordinate with SCI counterpart for smooth operations
Document lessons learned and best practices and provide feedback and dissemination in relevant coordination and review meetings
Ensure that complete &quality data is generated and uploaded at union level facilities
Ensure trouble shooting of the system takes place.
Supply of guidelines, tools and roll out the activities at community and facility level.
To facilitate that all field findings are recorded, feedbacks prepared and shared accordingly, ensured execution of feedback/action items doing follow up visits.
Monitor the activities and ensure smooth operations of RHIS intervention
Strengthen the capacity of supervisors and frontline workers in information management (data collection, analysis and reporting) as per HMIS tools.
Monitor the planned activity of the implementing partners.
Coordinate development of team action plans/ Work pan.
Attend meetings of GoB (Health&FP).
Arrange visit for internal and external visitors.
Prepare RHIS Programmatic reports and ensure its timely onward transmission.
Advocacy with stakeholder.
Ensure the MIS report and documentation supported with valid source.
Ensure the Security and Logistics (RHIS) of the Office.
Ensure that all expenditure incurred in accordance with budget line and budget limit.
Conduct / perform any other responsibility when asked for the interest of the Program, assigned by the District Coordinator.
