  • 5-7 years of in-depth experience of working with Inclusive Markets/ M4P approach, in Bangladesh context
  • Good experience and knowledge in terms of cross-cutting themes such as Gender, DRR, Governance and Conflict Sensitive Project Management (CSPM), etc.
  • Experience in public/ private partnership management
  • Experience of working with and building capacity of local organizations as implementing partners
  • Good practical understanding of the socio-political and economic context of rural Bangladesh, particularly market systems in char context
  • Ability to work with a variety of actors, such as government bodies, private sector, local stakeholders, communities and international development actors
  • Excellent analytical and strategic skills
  • Strong leadership and management capacity (team and offices)
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and relationship skills
  • Strong communication skills (both English and Bangla)
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the project locations

Job Context
Duration : Upto June 2019, with possibility of extension until December 2019
Reports To : Team Leader, M4C, Swisscontact, Bangladesh
Purpose of the Job:
The incumbent will lead design, implementation and management of project`s portfolio of interventions as per outcome targets/commitments of Phase II
Working Conditions and Environment: This will be according to M4C Employee Manual.
Job Description / Responsibility
Lead overall management of the project's portfolio in terms of assessment, design, implementation, reporting, budgeting, human resources management
Provide strategic direction to ensure project's goals are met through appropriate inclusive market development strategies and integration of cross-cutting themes
Ensure proper selection, partnership development and management of project's public/ private partners
Ensure proper selection, organisational capacity development and management of implementing partners
Prepare business plans, semester/ annual reports as per requirement
Strongly support the project's communication and capitalisation initiatives
Approve all administrative requirements for portfolio management
Build capacity of project staffs on inclusive markets/ M4P approach, monitoring and results measurement (MRM) and general management
Maintain liaison with key project stakeholders (donor, government agencies, etc.) as per direction of Team Leader
Contribute to overall project management as member of the Core Management Team, in donor and government meetings
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Any other task assigned by the supervisor. The incumbent may be, at times, required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description given above.
