  • 2-3 years of experience in the development field in rural areas of Bangladesh (applicants having experience of working in the chars and/or market development will be given preference)
  • Satisfactory communication skills (both English and Bangla)
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and relationship skills
  • Good command over MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the project locations

Job Detail:

Job Context
Duration : Upto June 2019, with possibility of extension until December 2019
Reports To : Intervention Area Manager, M4C, Swisscontact, Bangladesh
Purpose of the Job:
This is a long-term consultancy role reporting to the Intervention Area Manager. Working closely with the portfolio team members, s/he will be mainly responsible for managing partnership with private/public market actors and implementation of project intervention(s) in Kurigram district.
Working Conditions and Environment: This will be according to M4C Employee Manual.
Job Description / Responsibility
Contribute to market assessments; constraints and opportunity analysis; contribute to intervention design and partner identification; contribute to integration of cross-cutting themes (CCT)
Lead roll out of all interventions/ activities in the assigned district(s); regular follow-up, troubleshooting and improvisation
Manage and develop productive relationship with project's public/private partners
Contribute to IP preparation; maintain and operationalize relevant IPs, trackers, database, systemic change measurement processes
Support the MRM team in conducting studies and assessments (questionnaire development, data collection, etc.)
Capture district level progress of all interventions and achievements; write impact stories
Support in capacity building of designated district team(s) including implementing partner
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Any other task assigned by the supervisor. The incumbent may be, at times, required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description given above.
