Educational Qualification:

Post graduate in social science, arts, science and agriculture from a reputed university or diploma in agriculture from a reputed institution.

  • Potential Female candidate preference
  • At least 2 years of working experience in national or international development organization. Professionals having considerable competencies on agriculture development, climate change adaptation, integrated household development, community-based organization development and gender & development will be given preference.
  • Capable of preparing good quality reports and presentation in English. Any proven document will add value in this regard,
  • Good communication (oral & written) skill in English.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Candidate must have a valid passport.
  • Dynamic, independent, sincere and hard working professionals having cultural sensitivity.
  • Participants from diverse groups, race, gender and with personal qualification & professional skill & knowledge and cultural sensitivity will be given priority for the selection of exchange program.
  • Additional Information:
  • Location: DHAN Foundation, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India
  • Duration:
  • Total 21 months. Contractual. First 13 months (01 October 2017- 30 November 2018) will include 02 FK Training in abroad (before and after exchange), implementing exchange project in India and back home follow up activities. Following 01 Year, participant will work with WAVE Foundation to replicate the learning. The fellowship is comprised of 04 phases:
  • Preparation/Before Exchange
  • Attend FK's preparatory course in addition to participating in other preparations by home organization WAVE Foundation (15 days).
  • The working period/During Exchange
  • Working in the host partner DHAN Foundation, India (01 year).
  • Follow up/After Exchange
  • Attend FK's follow-up course. Upon returning home, perform follow-up activities together with home organization WAVE Foundation so as to share experiences (15 days).
  • Continue work with WAVE Foundation and support to implement learning on FPOs (01 year).

Salary Range
    For first 13 months, USD 824 will be given as monthly allowance.

  • Allowance and other benefits:
  • In addition, expenses for housing, insurance, in-service travel for field visit and international travel for FK training will be covered by organization. For following 01 year, allowance and other benefits will be set as per WAVE Foundation's policy.

Job Context

WAVE Foundation, a development organization is now implementing diversified activities under 3 Major Sectors- 1) Rights & Governance; 2) Community Finance and 3) Livelihood and Human Resource Development (www.wavefoundationbd.org). WAVE seeks application from interested Youth for its fellowship program under International Professional Exchange Project supported by FK Norway. FK Norway facilitates the exchange of members and employees between businesses and organisations in Norway and countries in Africa, Asia and Latin-America. The project creates scope to share knowledge and competence between people in various countries and cultures through innovative, collaboration and mutual goals (https://www.fredskorpset.no/en/). From this exchange program, participant will attain required knowledge, skill and leadership from DHAN Foundation, India on facilitating Farmers` Producers Organizations -FPOs and replicate the learning in WAVE Foundation.

Job Description / Responsibility

Participant is expected to:
Attain required knowledge, skill and leadership from DHAN Foundation on facilitating Farmers' Producers Organizations -FPOs.
Work in line with the aims and objectives of the exchange and with the participant agreement to achieve the project outcomes.
Prepare and submit the report in regular interval on project activities.
WAVE FK participants after returning from the exchange program will play a vital role in the Livelihood Development Sector.
Work in harmony with the values of FK and WAVE Foundation.
Act in conformity with FK's Code of Conduct
