Educational Qualification:

Experience:

Applicants should have a Master’s degree preferably in Statistics/ Public Health/ Economics/ Development Studies/ Sociology from a recognized University with at least 5 years’ demonstrated experience in designing, planning, and implementing monitoring system for development projects.

Proficiency in using statistical tools, ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and excellent report writing skills are essential.

 

Other Opportunities:

Based in Dhaka (with at least 30% field travel )+ Duration up to December 2017

Generation Breakthrough Project

 

The Project:

Plan International Bangladesh has been awarded a grant of $3000000 from UNFPA to implement the ‘Generation Breakthrough’ (GB) project. The goal of this project is to develop a replicable model for changing gender attitudes of adolescents including both in the school and out of school. The primary focus of this project is 350 schools & madrasas and 200 clubs under Patuakhali, Barguna, Barisal and Dhaka district to reach the adolescents. The strategies for this project are-

Modern and style media campaign,
Service delivery through using telecommunication and internet; existing government and non-government ASRH service facilities,
Implementing GEMS manual in the school and clubs,
Effective model building through monitoring and research.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project Manager, Technical Specialist-M & E of Generation Breakthrough project will be responsible for ensuring the quality of overall M & E initiatives as well as contribute towards achieve the strategic objective of the project. The incumbent will be also responsible for designing and developing a comprehensive set of tools for M&E, research works in association with central Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Knowledge Management team. Other responsibilities includes building M&E capacity of project and partner’s staff members; ensuring data flow from field and preparing periodical narrative and formative reports.
