  • Experience in successful application of digital marketing and social media marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful marketing campaigns that derived tangible business results
  • Experience of reporting on per-channel ROI across offline and online channels
  • Excellent communication skills both in Bangla and in English
  • Graduate in marketing / communications / MIS / computer science / information technology or equivalent work experience

British Council invites applications for the position of Marketing Manager

Role Purpose

To work with strategic business unit teams to maximise marketing plans, resulting in a more integrated and targeted approach to marketing planning and execution, enabling the organisation to meet its objectives

Main duties, accountabilities and responsibilities

To lead on the planning and execution of marketing plans with respective business units, delivering high quality and on-budget marketing campaigns whilst adhering to British Council global marketing standards

This will be achieved through

Stakeholder Management

Understanding various business units’ objectives, articulate goals based on current performance and desired performance and define the specific online platforms and digital marketing channels to reach objectives
Liaising with global and regional marketing teams including digital and social media colleagues, to draw on best practice throughout the organisation
Planning & Implementation

Designing marketing plans based on business requirements
Working with operational units and support them in developing marketing content for campaigns, and provide guidance on quality, compliance and accessibility
Ensuring marketing campaigns achieve objectives and are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders, capturing any learning from campaigns for future reference
Ensuring brand presence is maximised and built into marketing strategy with the aim of increasing our brand value
Utilising Marketing Expertise

Identifying digital marketing campaign objectives, develop customer-oriented, competitive digital and social media marketing plans, ensuring effective digital campaign delivery to meet targets
Designing and implementing a plan for increasing conversion rate through positive site user experience
Analysing options for all digital campaign planning, i.e. email marketing, pay per click (PPC), content marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing, social media, social advertising, to yield best results and measure effective Return on Investment (ROI)
Adopting best practice management in mobile marketing across PPC, SMS and mobile apps. Ensure all mobile marketing campaigns comply with codes of practice, policies and standards
