Requirement:
  • At least 7 years of working experience, preferably in training/capacity building in public health sector, first-hand experience as a trainer is an advantage.
  • S/he is expected to have a very good understanding and experience about health system of Bangladesh and capacity to liaison with different government and non-government organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with ability to facilitate different training programs, good planning skill and general procurement knowledge, especially idea about the health items/equipment.

This position is under a new component of MaMoni-HSS program focusing on building the managerial and technical capacity of the NIPORT to develop and implement a capacity-building program for the community level workers, their supervisors and first level managers to deliver the community-based health interventions of the new ESP (Essential Services Package).

Job Description / Responsibility

The person we are looking for is expected to work for NIPORT and its network of training institutions to manage the implementation of CHW capacity building program.
S/he will also have to work for development of a harmonized package of job descriptions, skills and competencies matrix and capacity-building package for the various types of community health workers for national roll out.
S/he will facilitate the team to develop a capacity-building package for first-line supervisors of government CHWs, coordinate with international TA experts and MaMoni HSS team to plan, design and conduct a rapid assessment of the institutional and managerial capacity of NIPORT and its RTCs.
S/he will also develop a procurement plan according to the RTC assessment report, facilitate the procurement process and ensure distribution of the equipment to the training units of NIPORT HQ & RTCs.
