Requirement:
  • Age 30 to 50 year(s)
  • Knowledge of agriculture, nutrition sensitive agriculture, urban horticulture, food system, food security, economic development, resilient and livelihoods, poverty dynamics, poverty reduction issues and practices.
  • Strong understanding of current developments, research and trends in the fields of agriculture, food security, economic development, resilient and livelihoods.
  • Project implementation and monitoring and evaluation specially community based monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong Knowledge on social dimension, Legal structure of the government, power dynamics, government relations.
  • Skill to write blog, article on Livelihood.
  • Theory of change and logical framework development.
  • Database management, statistical skills and ability to critically evaluate health data.
  • Supervisor/Management, Interpersonal, organizational savvy, Problem solving, negotiation, communication and collaborative skills, time management, management ability.
  • 7 years of extensive field experience in Livelihood sectors.
  • 4 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in facilitation and networking in relevant field.
  • Proven knowledge and experience on CVA, understanding of social accountability.
  • Professional experience in resource/grants acquisition & management.
  • Professional experience in training/capacity building.

Job Description / Responsibility

Assist in development of overall National Office (NO) strategy as per need
Assist in refinement & roll out of Livelihood technical approaches/program
Assist in development of Livelihood technical guidance (Standard Operating Procedures, IEC/BCC materials)
Assist with ongoing improvements to Livelihood Technical Approach/Technical Program design to ensure it remains relevant to context, incorporates innovation, by providing field-level information
Remain up to date with Livelihood related research, policy, guidance and initiatives and ensure dissemination to field staff
Work with line WV staff and partners to guide technical interpretation of technical models
Take leadership, support and guide field staff in implementation of Livelihood programming, responding and finding solutions to technical & program issues
Develop Technical Program work plans to include regular face-to-face support of field staff
Maintain situational awareness of actual and potential hazards at local level and bring it to attention of NO Livelihood TP Manager
Guide & extend support to field staffs for community hazard and vulnerability analysis in area of Livelihood
Solve problems under emergency conditions
Available for deployment for an HEA response in the regions for 4 weeks per year if needed
Undertake capacity assessment and develop capacity building plan of Livelihood Technical Specialists in Region and Technical Specialists within Grants and PNS projects
Facilitate regular basis capacity building support to the local level partners (IVDC/CBO's/Forum/Clubs etc)
Provide capacity building of field Livelihood staff, including provision of technical resources and linkage to partners and stakeholders
Various information, education and communication (IEC) materials provided for community training and staff development;
Appropriate capacity building curriculum, IEC materials and event calendars developed;
Capacity building events, orientations/training, workshops and visits/exposure organized Ensure quality monitoring of all health capacity building events
As matrix manager of AP Technical Specialists, identify areas of improvement and discuss with AP Manager for inclusion in Performance Agreements
Undertake capacity assessment of potential implementing partners and identify and implement capacity building plan
Assist research in the field as part of research team, field preparation, field supervision
Identify best/promising practices and success stories for documentation and dissemination through to Regional and National Livelihood Community of Practices
Project performances and relevant data documented properly and required reports delivered on time
Program documentary developed, and reviews, small scale study, case studies conducted
Performance reports submitted on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Technical/special reports prepared and submitted in order to meet donor requirements
Concept notes/proposals developed to acquire non-sponsorship funding
Necessary guidance provided to use all resources and facilities effectively
Initiate or contribute to funding concepts to ensure incorporation of WV Bangladesh's institutional learning and field level experiences
Support to develop micro project at AP level
Undertakes assessments and research to support grant acquisition and new AP placement
Manage works efficiently through prioritizing and allocating resources and tracking process
Assist field staff to write, and ensure timely submission from APs of monthly/quarterly/ annual Livelihood activity reports and any grant-specific reports
Assist NO Livelihood TP Manager in monitoring, supervision and evaluation of Livelihood Technical Program
Analysis of Livelihood TP monitoring data to identify performance issues and develop relevant plans with RFD and AP managers to ensure quality
Ensure program alignment with TA/TP and meets minimum standards
Technical support with DME team in designing, redesigning and elaborating logframes for Livelihood programming
Influence decision makers and technical specialists in the NOs and SOs for continuous quality improvement
Participate in program evaluations where requested by NO Undertake quality assessments based on requests from the line management and provide necessary advise.
Assess implementation standards of partner organizations and provide clear feedback on areas of improvement
Number of government policies related to Livelihood and SDGs etc. that were positively influenced by WVB;
Provide technical input to develop materials for advocacy like policy brief, Policy analysis, factsheet, documentary, case studies for Livelihood
Obtain evidence from health programs and data from CVA to inform policy at sub national and national level
Ensure CVA for health scaled up to a critical mass across APs
Establish and maintain liaison with sub-national Livelihood agencies, institutions and other partners
Establish partnerships with sub-national Livelihood agencies, institutions and other partners (GO & I/NGOs and UN bodies)
Engage with external agencies as needed in the provision of technical services to program participants based on requests from other like-minded organizations represent WV as required
Establish Partnership with local government such as UP, UZ, Municipality, City Corporations Establish partnership/collaboration with media to publish investigative report, OpED on Livelihood
