Educational Qualification:

Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science/Education or relevant discipline.



Minimum 7 years' working experience in large and complex education program, with at least 3 years in management position, with experience to contribute in strategic planning, policy and programs.


  • S/he is expected to have advanced knowledge about non-formal education program, clear understanding of relevant Government Polices as well as Donor’s perspective in sectoral issues.
  • Knowledge and techniques of staff and financial management is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead with support from the team members.

Save the Children is the world’s leading, independent organisation for children

Save the Children invites applications for the following position for an Alternative Primary Education Program (APEP). This program will be operated through a consortium partners of NGO and INGOs to support out of school children, including those who have never enrolled or dropped out for any reason, to complete primary education through flexible learning strategies. The APEP aims to support a maximum of 100,000 out of school children (aged 8-14) to complete their primary education and catalyze support across government and other stakeholders for a coordinated, multi-sectoral approach to education at the national level. Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential female candidates. This position is contractual for 9 months initially with possibility of long term extension.

Project Director - SHIKHON
(1 position based in Dhaka)


The Project Director-SHIKHON is a member of Extended Senior Management Team (ESMT) and therefore, will contribute towards strategic development and decision making of SHIKHON , an alternative primary education model.
S/he is responsible to provide overall leadership and strategic management of the SHIKHON program for its effective results committed to the government, which include effective planning, ensuring implementation of the plan in partnership with different NGOs.
S/he will also be responsible to oversee the financial management, maintain close liaison with government, donors and consortium partners.
