Educational Qualification:

Masters’ Degree, preferably in Statistics/Education/Social Science or relevant discipline, post-graduate specialization in Research and Evaluation would be a major advantage.

 

Experience:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in M&E and research, especially in non-formal primary education (NFPE), including 3 years in management position.

 

Requirement:
  • S/he is expected to have experiences in developing and piloting assessment tools, technology based M&E and MIS development is preferred. Sound knowledge and experience working with GOB and donor’s M&E standards and priorities, understanding of Bangladesh education system.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including using relevant data analysis platforms like SPSS/STATA/Excel.

Save the Children invites applications for the following position for an Alternative Primary Education Program (APEP). This program will be operated through a consortium partners of NGO and INGOs to support out of school children, including those who have never enrolled or dropped out for any reason, to complete primary education through flexible learning strategies. The APEP aims to support a maximum of 100,000 out of school children (aged 8-14) to complete their primary education and catalyze support across government and other stakeholders for a coordinated, multi-sectoral approach to education at the national level. Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential female candidates. This position is contractual for 9 months initially with possibility of long term extension.

Senior Manager - Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
(1 position based in Dhaka)

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager is part of the consortium team and s/he will responsible for setting up an evidence base that help in collecting qualitative and quantitative data systematically of each APEP model at consortium partner’s MEAL unit.
This includes working with consortium partners and other stakeholders to develop a MEAL plan that will integrate and align with individual model, indicators, tools and units of measurement and also with the government’s M&E system.
S/he will conduct and/or manage evaluations and research studies that address strategic questions and disseminate findings and generate reports in line with GoB and consortium reporting requirements.
The Senior Manager remains well-informed about recent research and evaluation findings and feeds this both into her/his work and into the team.
