Educational Qualification:
  • Masters in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Administration or Professional Accounting qualification from any recognised university/ institution with all 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations


  • Minimum 5 years of Managerial experience at the national or international level in business management and finance. Candidates having experience in setting up business ventures/ enterprise development and managing large institutions will be preferred


  • Age At most 45 year(s)
  • Have proven leadership skill and competencies on financial planning and strategy, people management, managing profitability, strategic planning and corporate finance
  • Highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with strong knowledge on Business management & Skills Development Sector
  • Excellent capabilities on quantitative and qualitative analysis, skilled in financial and operational management, budgeting & forecasting and developing business proposals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships in a multicultural environment
  • High level of proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment and deliver results in a timely manner

Job Context

Job Description/ Responsibility

Develop and implement Skills Development Programme's Business Proposal 2016-2020, other key strategic documents and necessary business cases
Spearhead setting up of the BRAC Institute of Skills Development, including establishing functional mechanisms for the institute's i.e.
Administration and management;
Providing high demand training, assessment & certification/accreditation in growth sectors for learners and professionals;
Learner fielding and job placement mechanisms;
Network and liaison
Identify and secure new business opportunities including competing for national and international tenders using labor market intelligence where appropriate and develop the team's capacity in this regard
Following Decent Work and Social Inclusion Strategies, develop and implement high quality, cost effective, value added business focused projects for self and wage employment within the country and broad
Ensure development of marketing, fundraising, communication, programme growth and branding strategies and ensure implementation of these
Oversee financial management and risk management of the programme and all its interventions
Ensure linkage key stakeholders i.e. government, private sector, civil society organizations, donors and other funding agencies, media, academic institutions, other BRAC programmes etc.
Supervise, coach and guide staff as required
