Job Description / Responsibility

Providing technical instruction regarding garment making, to all coming under the manufacturing chain by introducing feasible, effective and efficient methods that assure the customer quality requirements while giving the supervisors and the operators clear and practicable sewing techniques to create an enhanced manufacturing environment within the organization.
Sample Making Process and give the staff instructions and solutions to their practical problems.
Make sure the Sample Making is preceded as per the methods and techniques applicable in the bulk production.
Whenever possible, make a Technician's Sample to identify the problems that may come across in the bulk production. (Pattern errors (shape, measurement etc.), Construction difficulties, Missing operation, Requirement of machines, folders, attachments etc., Material handling problems, selecting skills required for operations., Understanding operations sequence., Working out operation balancing with IE, how to give work instructions for operators., Identifying areas where quality issues are coming.
Check with the Pattern Department (CAD) and correct if anything seems difficult for the garment construction.
Make sure the problems highlighted in the Technician's Sample have been corrected for the Supervisors Sample.
Give the relevant instruction to the Cutting Department in cutting the samples and bulk production.
Must keep records about the important factors discussed in the Pre- Production Meeting regarding quality, construction, trims etc and these should be corrected for the Supervisor's Sample
Introduce the most feasible, practical, effective, efficient and economical solution to the system and help to keep the Production Cost as minimum as possible
Make sure the supervisors are having Trims card, Green Tag Sample, and Specification Sheets when the Line Feeding starts.
Thoroughly follow the Technical Specification of the garment and highlight every important point to the production team.
