Job Description / Responsibility
Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of export compliance policies and procedures of sugar, Food & Beverage, bulk commodities, cement, rice and other agro based products.
Opening and developing new business opportunities in existing and new markets.
Maintain proper relations with trucking vendors, customs personnel, brokers and suppliers so that in times of need a big emergency can be averted.
To prepare export documents, submit the same to bank for realization of sales proceeds.
To maintain close liaison with different Govt. offices/agencies regarding exportation.
Negotiating shipping schedules, letters of credit, credit control mechanisms, licenses, declarations, packing, routing, transport, safety documentation activities.
Oversees all export activities, such as paperwork completion and monetary transactions, in a timely manner, consults with legal experts as needed to resolves any legal compliance issues or concerns.
Arrange for shipping that is not only time bound but is also cost effective. This might require the manager to look for alternate routes so that the cost is marginally reduced.
Ensure that the shipping route is safe. There are several shipping routes that are prone to being attacked and looted. The manager needs to create a plan of shipping that excludes these routes thus making him/her responsible for all these logistics.
Maintain proper relationships with personnel who are men of power in the export circuit. This will enable them to avoid red tape and also help them to work smoothly.
Providing regular feedback to Reporting Authority about current situation/status.
