Requirement:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in similar position (Research experience is added advantages)
  • Teaching experience on Textile, Apparel Manufacturing in reputed university preferred. (BUFT, BUT, NIFT, Pearl Fashion Institute, Santo-Mariam University, DIFT)
  • Excellent leadership qualities, proven ability to motivate and bring out the best in people
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse colleagues, clients, and customers culturally and linguistically
  • Ability to judge professional situations and relationships and represent the best interests of the company
  • Understanding of discretion and the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to coordinate and lead senior project management
  • Strong people manager - proven feedback through reviews, surveys or similar measurement tools of management effectiveness
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team

Job Detail:


Job Description / Responsibility

Take the lead in developing the training institute establishment - from setting plan, goals to implementation, objectives and evaluation
Conduct research, come up with ideas, develop policies, create detailed plans for training institute
Develop a strong understanding of Target Groups' (TG) requirements and objectives, and develop the strategic ideas
Build an in house resource person pool/team to train internal Merchandising & Quality personnel with upgraded procedure
Closely work with Quality and Merchandising heads to design an assessment procedure in terms of Quality and Merchandising team members' recruitment including practical and theoretical assessment, case study etc.
Conduct supervision, monitoring and reporting of the tasks to ensure accountability and quality of deliverables
Coach the overall implementation requirements, methods and routines
Continuously evaluate methods and routines and initiate improvements if needed
Improvise techniques for Quality team how to achieve the goals
Evaluate current quality problems and customer claims and find the gap and advice the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and how to avoid them in future
Maintain strong cooperation & communication with managers and other concerned parties to promote quality with the customer in mind
Periodical counselling on Merchandising and Quality personnel to raise their standard and motivation
Responsible for coordinating Coaching / Training, supplier inspection training programs on product and safety levels of merchandise and quality team
Go through technical risk assessments and educate Quality team on actions to be taken in production to avoid any issues for production.
Setting quality standards for the factory following buyer's requirements and guidance for each departments and processes in factory
Train up newly hired quality personnel on company quality policies and how to use quality tools
Analyze team's efficiency and productivity and give continuous feedbacks how to improve and provide required training etc.
Support, train and develop newly joined Merchandisers
Deliver information about performance review, disciplinary action and counseling to merchandisers and quality personnel
Maintain and provide quarterly reports to the management
Setting a standard for giving external training for Merchandising & Quality in two years
