POSITION: Fabric Technologist
Department : Product Integrity Team
: Dhaka, Bangladesh
KAS is seeking a Fabric Technologist to coordinate and conduct complex, highly technical experimental development programs involving developing new and improved materials, processes and techniques to provide novel battlefield capabilities, add or increase protection, or reduce manufacturing costs.
Responsible for conducting fabric mill audit, fabric inspection and tests relative to innovative fibres, additives and treatments to improve performance of textiles. To assess whether the fabrics are within the capabilities of machinery, costings and the capabilities of the fabric.
Carries out quality control work or PP meeting to ensure the end product performs to specifications.
Familiar with various standard textile tests, coordination of tests, and organizing test data.
Work on the development of fabrics, improve quality and fit for purpose, and liaise with those involved in the bulk manufacturing process. Fabric Technologists work with a wide range of fabrics, including synthetic and natural textiles.
Coach/Monitor KAS garment supplier to enhance the in-house fabric inspection quality system & in-house testing process.
Provide supports and assistance to factories for production process improvement / trouble shooting from development stage to post production stage for fabric quality/colour issues.
Experience fabric technical solutions for complex problems and delivering them to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to become a trusted advisor by building and managing relationships with colleagues, vendors, and other industry professionals.
