VAS Manager - Bangladesh
The role is authorized by the management to exercise the below powers and functions on behalf of the company:
Setting targets and deliverables objectives for respective team members report to this role
Follow up of daily work of the employees, controlling the scope of work and implementation activities for respective team members report to this role
Conduct performance appraisals and review evaluating the tasks / job of the respective teams, carryout performance appraisals for respective team members report to this role
Give proper Guidance, Direction and supervise for respective team members report to this role
Granting leave for respective team members report to this role
Lead, coach and manage the VAS team and its activities.
Lead, coach and manage our off-dock / AIR whs / Project and ground operation handling resources and their activities.
Ensure efficient off dock cfs and Air operation management
Procurement savings through smart operations
Making team members aware of Customers satisfaction through smooth ground operation
Provide support to reporting head to achieve targeted goal on operations & cost savings
Minimise claims through awareness to all concerned.
To implement new rules & procedures as & when set by clients
Efficient Team management & elevating their skills
Who we are looking for
Handle and overall look after all activities of VAS teams and resources.
Coordinate and overall look after all SEA Operation and Air operation related activities
Ensure vendor contracts and agreements are on time updated per company objectives.
Ensure cost control drives for all VAS related procurements
Ensure productivity and efficiency development through automation or EDI with off-docks
Ensure VAS related info input with network colleagues as and when required
Measure Team through KPI & take corrective measures
Identify individuals to develop talents
Attending Customer queries in professional manner
Maintains good rapport with vendors
Arranging hands on training for the team
Liaison with authorities concerned
Saving from overall costs
Improve off dock productivity through efficiency
Effective trouble shooting at offdocks and Air operation and ensure flawless service
Grab any sales / procurement opportunity for additional business /saving for the company
Primary internal stakeholders:
Head of CSO
Country & CSO Management
CSO Team Members & Leaders
Area, Regional & CEN teams
All local colleagues
All Network colleagues relevant to VAS.
Example of tasks:
Lead, manage, supervise, guide, coach and train the direct reports.
Identify and bridge the gaps among team resources.
Provide strategic suggestions and recommendations to HCSO.
Highlight and escalate concerning matters to HCSO, CSO Managers & Leaders and Area offices.
Ensure smooth ground operation for SEA and AIR
Finalize and decide on various processes, IOPs & SOPs in relation to VAS activities.
Attend queries from CM, HCSO, CFO, Team Managers, Team Leaders, Area, Region and Centre teams.
Communicate with local, overseas colleagues and parties concerned through mails, phones, etc.
Travel local and overseas offices as and when required.
Keep and store all records, data and proof of works.
Ensure close coordination and relation for VAS related activities with BDFACTOPS-GSC, ICB-GSC, RTP/ OTC/ ATR/ FIN-GSC, local FIN and all local and overseas colleagues and stakeholders to ensure CSO receives and delivers on time and error-free services from all involved.
Ensure teams take actions on IDOCs on regular basis.
Ensure by experts all revenue recognition of all jobs on time.
Ensure by teams smooth completion of month-end tasks and on time and accurate determination of weekly/monthly CM1 result.
Ensure cost effective VAS related procurement, agreements, contracts etc are most updated and in place
