Educational Qualification:

  • Should have experience of dealing with renowned buyers particularly from Europe.
  • Must have experience of conducting meeting with buyers both within the country and in abroad.
  • Should have sound knowledge on commercial process & terms.
  • Computer literacy: Should be very good in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point.
  • Well-mannered with positive attitude and strong communication skill on speaking, reading and writing in both English and Bangla.
  • Around 7 years of experience in this field.
  • Ability to perform target oriented job.

Assistant Merchandise Manager

Job Location: Dhaka

Job Nature: Full time Job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring the whole process of order execution from order placement to order shipment.

Ensure the placement of order to correct supplier at correct fob with required lead-time.
Monitoring the process of sales contract distribution with correct fob to correct supplier.
Placement of imported fabric booking to correct fabric supplier at agreed price with correct lead-time. Follow the payment and fabric shipment process and in hose status.
Mentoring all accessories booking & in-house status of nominated and non-nominated supplier with correct lead-time.
Monitoring the sample submission and approval process and ensure maintain the buyer agreed or set dd.
Ensure the correct process maintain in all test submission or pre submission process.
Set a correct and effective production plan &line set up with factory concern to ensure the shipment of goods on time.
Follow up the inspection schedule to ensure the lot wise inspection on time.
Monitoring the crc receipt, goods handover & also cross check correct buyer & vendor fob on documents.
Take decision in critical and technical issue arise during production with the help of concern manager or director.
Give all approval for bulk shade fabric, print or related accessories.
Ensure the correct quality and product shipment in lot basis.
Take proactive measures by anticipating the risk for specific/critical nature of the merchandise.
Attending buyer meetings for costing/production purpose.
Negotiating fabric and accessories prices and find out suitable supplier for the product.
Ensure right costing of the product and negotiate with buyer.
In absence of Director/General Manager merchandising representing Centro.
Update/cooperate Director/ General Manager merchandising on day to day operation.
Review and assess the performance of the factories for the future business partnership.
2. Maintaining good communication & relationship with buyer & supplier

Ensuring the correct reply of all buyers’ mail with in the same day or in some cases very next day.
Maintain good & healthy relationship with buyer via verbal and personal communication.
Presented the upcharge or technical difficulties in the orders with logical & technical way to get best output for company.
Ensure to raise/heads up of production problem or delivery prep one/ postpone prior delivery date to buyer so that can get waiver or extension on that issue.
Maintain & raise the liabilities of the order during the order placement to get the effective and settle result of the liabilities.
Sending the correct or updated buy plan to supplier on time.
Discussion on production plan on daily basis with supplier concern so that goods can inspected on given date. And which should be prior FF date.
Negotiate all upcharge or down charge issue with supplier so we can get the best result from the issue.
Negotiate price with supplier for critical print like sublimation, dip dye, over dye and special accessories with correct and competitive price. Ensure to place order accordingly and also inform garment supplier with the same.
In case of cm basis order have to ensure all the booking and payment to concern supplier on time. As well as monitoring the in-house date of all goods also.
3. Ensure healthy & worm atmosphere in team.

Ensure the correct work distribution among the team member to get the best out from team members.
Train up the team members in correct and effective way.
Help to solve the difficulties or problem in working area of team mate so that members can work at full swing and high motive.
Motivate the teammates in correct and effective way to achieve best output with minimum input.
Find out or sort out the easiest way of working on each process so the specific job can be done within the shorten time on effective way.
Figure out the weak area of the team meats and take corrective measures or training to get the improvement of that particular area in future.
Help to prescribe the training or related improvement program for the team mate to increase the professional or process related skill.
Maintain month wise incident or performance report for the team mate.
Place proposal of the promotion or demotion to supervisor on the basis on individual performance.
4. Maintain the office rules and regulation

Follow the office decorum and policy of company
Maintain good relationship with team and the other department of company to make smooth working arena.
Take effective part the official working process and effective suggestion if required.
Keep warm and good relation with other concern department of the office to do the job at smooth and friendly manner.
