Job Description / Responsibility

Assist to Head of Library in planning, organizing and administering the programs and services of the Library.
Provides reader's advisory service.
Help students find books and answer questions.
Keep circulation records.
Enter and update patrons' records on computers.
Process new materials including books, audiovisual materials, and computer software.
Assist patron with ready-reference questions and reader advisory, bibliographic instruction and database searching.
Collect and record fines.
Process and repair library materials.
Sort books, publications and other items according to established procedure and return them to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas.
Assist in processing new books.
Inventory books when necessary.
Assists in creating promotional materials, writing reports, and maintaining files.
Edits catalog records.
Development of inter- Library relationship and latest techniques of Library management.
Instruct patrons on how to use reference sources, card catalogs, and automated information systems.
Open and close library as needed.
Assist in the withdrawal of books.
Overall supervision and maintaining of the activities of the Library.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
