About The role
We are looking for a candidate with a high level of commitment to contribute to the delivery of CA’s programme in Bangladesh with specific responsibility for the management of the inclusive market development strategy and social enterprise programme. S/he will be responsible to coordinate, monitor and provide technical support to Christian Aid staff and partners to ensure quality programme performance. S/he will lead the development and strengthening of Christian Aid’s work in Bangladesh on inclusive market development, social enterprise and private sector engagement. The position will facilitate programme reviews, evaluations and internal and external networking; using learning to inform decision-making & effective documentation of key lessons. Represent Christian Aid with key institutional donors and provide technical leadership in programme design and the development of fundraising proposals in the field of inclusive markets and social enterprise development would be one of the major tasks of that person. The role includes technical skills related to inclusive market access development strategies, market systems development, private sector engagement and networking, multi stakeholder engagement processes, development and promotion of social entrepreneurship / inclusive business models and/or may include of training of staff and partners.

This position requires extensive engagement with the private sector, markets, business associations, social enterprise / impact investment networks, as well as other relevant market stakeholders / public private partnership platforms / advocacy platforms (with private sector actors, INGO, business lobbies and relevant government ministries). The Programme Manager will network with market and value chain stakeholders to keep abreast of market system developments and impact investment networks nationally, as well as sharing experiences and best practices, both internally and externally. Coordinate thematic programme relations with other country teams in the region, the International Department and other corporate teams as required will be the one of the key focus for the position.
